The storm rages. It's a school night. But you have a debt to pay, and the hotpot waits for no one...

1 pot.

5 minutes.

2 endings.

HOTPOT OF HORRORS is a free, 5-minute spooky potion puzzler with storybook vibes. Decipher recipes and brew sinister stews as you delve deeper into dark magic. Be careful not to burn yourself.

Mobile/touchscreen users: YMMV, but you might have better luck with "tap object, then drag".

On Windows in Chrome browser, clicking the button on the pot only returns what I have put into the pot into the original positions. I haven't seen the game proceed in any way after that. Tried many ways, watch how the other players played it, but nothing worked.

Hmm I can't recreate the problem on my end--when I test the game on Chrome on my Windows machine, it works fine. If you don't have the correct ingredients, it'll just reset the room ingredients, so it sounds like it's triggering the "incorrect" response for you every time, no matter what you add?

This seemed to work fine on mobile ios firefox, but the button to activate the pot was too small to notice so I didn't know what to do to continue after inputting the first recipe. I was able to play it fine after I switched to my computer, but a hint to press the pot button would have been helpful. This game is really cool! The hint for the good ending was really clever.

Ah that's good to know, thank you for the feedback! Thanks for trying it out and I'm happy to hear you got the good ending!

I love how if you fail twice the recipe just spells (hehe) it out for you.

First and second tries : Ominous, dark poetry.

Third try : Look dingus, we need a RED APPLE and an EYEBALL. Can you do that?

Also I feel so smart for getting the good ending! I will be joining my twelve sisters soon.

Haha I know, but I tried to make receiving the hints a little spooky too! I love hint systems and catch-up mechanics, I feel like they keep the momentum going in a game.

Thanks for checking out this little spooky-cute game, and I'm pleased to hear you've been recruited to the coven! :)

Solid game, keep up the good work.

I loved it! The game felt super cozy & terrifying. Replayed the game a few times to try and get the second ending. It took some careful reading, but I got it!
